i found some online for $16 per month. i have a mini dach. it depends on the type of dog, etc. if he has been sick before, they might not accept him.
if you care for your pet, that is one of the financial responsiblities of a pet owner. it will help you in the long run, so spend the extra money.
Whatever you get, be sure to ask a lot of questions, look around online for reviews, ask your vet, and so on. Read all the fine print, then read it again, then ask more questions.
I use VPI, and it’s an up and down experience, you just need to be vigilant about filing and following up (and sometimes following up and disputing and following up and refiling and following up) with your claims. The price is pretty good anyway and it looks like over the course of the last year it will end up being worth it.
Someday I hope insuring my pets will be as easy as insuring my cars. Geico, where are you?
